UNIPAKNILE, a member of INDEVCO Group, participated in the 2nd Eurasia & Middle East Paper & Paper Product Conference on June 10, held as part of Paper Eurasia Expo 2026 in Istanbul. As a featured speaker, Antoine Zeidan, Plant Manager of UNIPAKNILE, shared insights on operational excellence, sustainable manufacturing, and trends shaping the regional paper and packaging industry.
The conference brought together leading paper manufacturers, converters, suppliers, industry experts, and decision-makers from across the Middle East, Eurasia, and international markets. The event provided a strategic platform for knowledge exchange, networking, and discussions around the future of paper-based packaging solutions.
During his session, Antoine focused on how manufacturers can turn packaging from a functional requirement into a driver of business performance. He discussed the role of operational excellence, digital innovation, and supply chain optimisation in helping companies improve speed, consistency, and market responsiveness.
“At UNIPAKNILE, we believe packaging is more than protection. It’s a powerful communication tool and a strategic business asset,” said Antoine during his presentation. “By leveraging Egypt's strategic location, we turn geography into a competitive export advantage, delivering high-quality packaging solutions to Europe and Africa faster and more cost-effectively.”
Following the presentation, Antoine joined fellow industry leaders in a panel discussion exploring the future of the paper and packaging sector. The conversation addressed key topics including supply chain strategy, innovation, and the changing demands of customers across regional and global markets.
One of the central themes was the balance between “Buy” and “Build” strategies, with a focus on how strong supplier partnerships, robust planning systems, and operational excellence can help companies remain agile and competitive.
The discussion also examined the growing demand for short-run, highly customised packaging orders. As brands increasingly seek faster turnaround times, greater product differentiation, and tailored packaging solutions, manufacturers must develop more agile production systems supported by advanced planning tools, rapid changeovers, and integrated digital workflows.
“Complexity is the customer’s demand; flexibility is our competitive advantage.”
Looking ahead, Antoine expressed confidence in the industry's growth prospects, driven by the continued shift from plastic to paper-based packaging and the expansion of e-commerce channels. He noted that these trends are accelerating demand for corrugated packaging solutions designed around Fit-to-Product (FtP) and Fit-to-Size (FtS) principles, helping businesses reduce waste, improve logistics efficiency, and support sustainability objectives.
The event created valuable opportunities to connect with industry stakeholders, exchange perspectives on market developments, and highlight how UNIPAKNILE’s manufacturing capabilities support customers across regional and international markets.
As part of INDEVCO Group, UNIPAKNILE continues to advance innovation, process optimisation, and responsible manufacturing practices that support customer growth and long-term industry development.
